Goals
At Duxbury Occupational Therapy, our goal is to use fun, innovative, and effective interventions to help children reach their motor and cognitive milestones, improve fine motor, visual-perceptual and visual-motor skills, manage sensory processing challenges, develop coping strategies, promote school readiness, and fully access the school curriculum. Each session engages children in meaningful, age-appropriate play while addressing all areas of concern.
Person-Centered Care
Duxbury Occupational Therapy realizes that adolescents have different challenges from their younger counterparts and therefore care and interventions are client specific and age-appropriate to meet an adolescent’s needs. Duxbury Occupational Therapy can develop a sensory diet that is age-appropriate and more discrete in nature. We will also provide instruction in self-regulation, body awareness, and executive function strategies. Additionally, we can provide coaching and consultation related to the transition to adulthood which includes life skills and employability skills.
What Our Clients Have to Say
Wilma is so patient, kind, and loving. She put our daughter at ease immediately and made it fun for her to work on math problems and writing and things she normally would have dreaded. I would highly recommend Wilma!!”

“We cannot say enough amazing things about Wilma! She worked with our son for 6 years and there is no doubt that his educational success is because of his work with Wilma! She was always so patient and kind and supportive with all of us!! Our son loved going to his sessions with her, she always made it fun for him, it was never boring! We also loved how she involved the whole family so we could go home and play games with him to further his therapy! Our son is now a junior in HS and is planning his college future!”

“Wilma has been an exceptional occupational therapist for our twin daughters, working with them twice a week to support one in recovering from a stroke and regaining use of her weaker side, while helping the other with vestibular sensory challenges. Her sessions are truly the highlight of their week — she is the only therapist they feel completely comfortable with. Wilma’s patience, enthusiasm, and genuine joy in celebrating their progress have created a trusting and nurturing environment that has made a profound impact on their development. We are so grateful for her expertise, dedication, and the special bond she has built with our girls.”
